Life is a warfare and so is Christaindom. The Bible tells us that the weapon of our warfare is not canal but mighty through Christ to the pulling down of strongholds (2 Cor 10:4). It is only a soul that wants to fall and remain prey to the attack of the devil that will not make it a habit to daily engage in warfare prayers. He or she then intends to forever be the candidate of the enemy for constant attack. Though this is a very hard and mature concept and even divine commands for most christians to understand and engage in, but with the help of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer, it is very possible and necessary.  If a christian does not understand the need for spiritual warfare in prayers, why would he even bother waging such a war? Therefore in order to successfully engage in warfare prayers, we as christians, must do so in knowledge that we are 'the body of Christ' and this can be achieved in the following ways:
1. We need to do so in obedience to the Word of God and the leading of the Holy Spirit.

2. We must get filled with the Holy Spirit who will in turn help us to pray aright.

3. We need to "put on the full amour of God" (Eph 6) while waging spiritual wars through prayers.

4. We need to take up the sword of the Spirit  which is professing and confessing the Word of God by praying in the Spirit.

5. We need to keep standing in the gap in prayers always for ourselves and those we intercede for.

6. We need to conquer satan by claiming the blood of the lamb and the words of testimonies of the word and those who has received divine victories from the Lord.

These and many more according to how one is led in the Spirit will enable the prayerful combatant to pray effectively and receive speedy answers from God as well as the required victory needed.
